On Zanzibar’s east coast, at Jambiani, is the modest, family-owned Furaha Lodge. The resort is located close to the beach in a lovely garden. The lodge features ten rooms, each with a private patio or balcony and air conditioning. The rooms are straightforward but cozy, and each one has a private bathroom.Either guests can prepare their own meals in the lodge’s community kitchen or they can dine in the restaurant, which offers a variety of African and foreign cuisine.
