The official Precision Air Tanzania website is where you can book flights, manage a booking, check baggage rules and find the airline’s contact details. This guide explains the correct web address, what you can do on the site, how online booking works and how to avoid fake websites that imitate the airline.
The official web address
Precision Air‘s official website is www.precisionairtz.com. Online bookings are processed through the airline’s booking engine at ibe.precisionairtz.com, which opens when you search for flights or choose to manage a booking. Always check that the address in your browser ends in precisionairtz.com and starts with https before entering personal or payment details.
What you can do on the website
- Search and book flights on the airline’s domestic and regional routes.
- Manage a booking, for example to view your itinerary or make permitted changes.
- Check travel rules, including baggage and excess baggage policies, special assistance, dangerous goods, refunds and the pregnancy policy.
- Request a charter through the online charter request form.
- Join PAA Royal, the airline’s frequent flyer programme, and check how points are earned and redeemed.
- Find contacts and offices, including the contact centre and head office in Dar es Salaam.
Booking a flight online step by step
- Go to precisionairtz.com and choose your departure city, destination, dates and number of passengers.
- Compare the available flights and fare types, paying attention to baggage allowances and change rules.
- Enter passenger names exactly as they appear on each passport or ID.
- Add any special service requests, such as wheelchair assistance.
- Pay securely and save your booking reference and e-ticket. If you are booking for someone else with your card, check the airline’s rules on presenting the card at check-in.
Useful information on the site
The website’s information pages answer many common questions without the need to call. For example, the airline lists one piece of hand baggage of up to 7 kg (55 x 38 x 20 cm), asks passengers to reconfirm flights at least 48 hours before departure, and explains its rules for special assistance and pregnant travellers. Our guide to Precision Air services in Tanzania summarises these services.
Using the site on a mobile phone
Most travellers in Tanzania browse on their phones, and the site and booking engine can be used on a mobile browser. For the smoothest experience, use an up-to-date browser and a stable connection when paying, and keep a screenshot or PDF of your e-ticket in case you lose signal at the airport.
How to avoid fake airline websites
- Type the address yourself or use a bookmark instead of clicking links in unsolicited messages.
- Be cautious of search adverts and social media pages offering unusually cheap “Precision Air” tickets.
- Never pay for a ticket by sending money to a personal mobile money number.
- If in doubt, call the official contact centre on +255 784 108 800 to confirm a booking.
If the website is not working
If you cannot complete a booking online, you can book or get help through the contact centre (contactcentre@precisionairtz.com), at a Precision Air sales office or through a travel agent. Our page on Precision Air Tanzania contacts lists the numbers and addresses.
