AccessBank Tanzania specializes in servicing micro, medium-sized and small-sized businesses. The assets of the bank were estimated at USD 109.8 million in December 2014. It possessed 170,065 bank deposit accounts, having a cumulative USD 88.4 million, a USD 71.3 million loan book, and loan accounts totalling 27,516 at the time. It is part of the AccessBank Group, which includes microfinance institutions situated in Central Asia, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa, the majority of which are under the ownership of the AccessHolding conglomerate. The total assets of the bag were evaluated at TZS 207.2 billion (USD 91 million) in June 2017, with TZS:31.73 billion (USD 14 million) in shareholders’ equity.

AccessBank Tanzania had 225,928 savings customers and 31,798 loan customers as of 2016 December. Women made up 29% of the bank’s clientele at the time, while 2% of the clients were from rural areas.
